Churning out posts has been non existant lately and there is a very good reason for this. For the past month I have befriended the unwlecome visitor: Mr Sleep depravity and Miss High Stress to complete a mini collection as an assignment that was given to me. Here are the raw images of all the efforts and the cause for the disruption. Thankgoodness we've reached the tail end of this assignment and hello to some more frequent postings!^_^

Such a terribly belated post but better late than never they say. Miss clothes-horse-du-jour Rachel Rutt  strikes a carefree attitude in Milk And Honeys' latest A/W offerings, mega-stylist Kym Ellery helmed the shoot bringing an almost sinister sensibility to this 'English Highlands' inspired collection whose original intent was to inspire a 'journey through the countryside'.  The concept in my opinion has been fragmented during translation but nontheless the clothes are remarkably fawn-worthy. Some serious cooing was exhalted for the little black lace number and tanned pieces throughout. Colourful knits, muted tones and trans-seasonal prints round up this stellar lineup.

PS. Anyone else feeling the wide-brimmed-hat-and-fastener look? Ellery did a fantastic number on the styling front.

As is the normal course for discovering great creatives, I've just stumbled across Swallow Glitter which is blogsite helmed by stylist/editor/photographer/designer James Todorov. What I found completely enthralling about this set of graphics besides the sublime styling are the post-photo edits that have been applied to them. An assortment of traced, cut and pasted odds and ends with a heavy dosage of manipulated colour saturations are merged into something oh so very well balanced. Gave a slight squeel at the emanating rays in the first image and the unusual (but phenomenal) mixup of clothes and accessories. Definately a stylist to look out for in the future and now.

My slight obsession with backpacks begun with some heavy swooning earlier this year over the A.Wang Golf-inspired bag and continues here with this Yuketens' Triangle Birds' Backpack. Besides the completely adorable tweeters (which I have a strong obsession for) scribed casually atop the water resistant cotton, im in quite the serious need to find a suitable alternative to my satchel which I am quite literally wearing to death. This is no knitted and woollen Junya Watanabe creation but at 360€ (roughly NZ$714) it is definately an investment piece. The beige leather trims give it a less sporty and more of a casual everyday lean to it which is simply just perfect.
